Change Templates Import

Change Templates can be imported into ITRP using UTF-8 or UTF-16LE encoded comma-separated values (CSV) or tab-separated values (TSV) files.

Detailed information about the data that can be specified in the columns of a Change Templates import file can be found in Change Templates API - Fields.

Adding Task Templates to a Change Template

Task templates can be related to a change template by specifying the ITRP ID of each task template in the Task Templates column. Separate the ITRP IDs of the task templates with a line break.

Linking Task Templates to Form a Workflow

When multiple task templates are related to a change template, these task templates can be linked together into a workflow. This is done using the Workflow column. In this column, the predecessor => successor links can be defined.

The following example shows how a workflow can be defined from four task templates. The ITRP IDs of these four task templates are 1 through 4. In this example, the workflow starts with task template #1. This first task template has two successors. These are task templates #2 and #3. Task templates #2 and #3 are the predecessors of task template #4, which is the final step of the workflow.

1 => 3
2 => 4
3 => 4

Each predecessor => successor link needs to be separated by a line break.
